New English translation of the Mass
You may be aware that a new English translation of the Mass is to be introduced throughout the English speaking world in the near future. Some  people are unhappy, and have said so for a long time, with the proposed texts, on the grounds that they represent a too literal translation of the original Latin and use archaic language which many people will not understand or relate to.If you would like to read more about the proposed changes, may I recommend two websites that may help all to be better informed.  There are indeed many more.

For thoes unhappy about the propsed changes, an email petition is now circulating proposing that the new text should at least be tested in a few places for a year before it is introduced world-wide.
