Run in the dark – Wednesday 13 November

Former adventure athlete Mark Pollock, who is now blind and paralysed, holds a global 5k and 10k called Run in the Dark every year to fund his mission to cure paralysis in our lifetime. He is looking for participants to run and volunteers to help make it happen. Please share the text below with your networks and the attached marketing material.

Run in the Dark – 13 November 2024

As darkness sweeps around the globe at 8pm on 13 November, 25,000 people worldwide will hit the streets to Run in the Dark. Together, they will run for those who dream to walk by fundraising for Collaborative Cures and supporting the Mark Pollock Trust.

Participants – Go to runinthedark.org to register for your 5k or 10k.

Volunteers needed– Go to runinthedark.org/volunteer for pack pick up between 4pm and 8pm on Monday 11 or Tuesday 12 November and various roles between 6pm and 10pm on event night on 13 November:

Pack Pick-Up – 20 Volunteers to Hand out run packs to participants from 4pm to 8pm on Monday 11 November and another 20 on Tuesday 12 November at the tourist office.

Bag Drop – 40 Volunteers to Sort & store runners’ bags from 6pm to 10pm on Wednesday 13 November close to the start finish area at Rives de Clausen.

Meet & Greet – 40 Volunteers to Greet runners and show them to the start line and move to give medals and water on the finish line from 6pm to 10pm on Wednesday 13 November.

Marshalls – 60 Volunteers to Stand along the run route, encouraging runners from 6pm to 10pm on Wednesday 13 November.
