The Catholic Petition – 2021: The year we take back our common home

In 2021, major global conferences – #COP15 on biodiversity, #COP26 on the climate crisis and the 47th #G7Summit – will be held.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been reminded that “everything is interconnected” (Pope Francis, Laudato Sí).

The Catholic Petition is an initiative by religious orders and Catholic development organisations from around the world asking the leaders of these global gatherings to urgently align national and global commitments with limiting warming to 1.5ºC at most, and no more biodiversity loss that’s harming the present and future of our common home.

Show your support for these goals and help Pope Francis in his efforts to make the world change course by signing The Catholic Petition here:

Children’s Liturgy – 26 Sept 2021

In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us always to help other people who are in need.

This Sunday we pray especially for people who have left their home countries. Many find a better life in another country – like Luxembourg – but many have a hard time getting here and many others do not get that chance. Jesus says that we should help all of them.

The Children’s Liturgy today will be held:

– at 10:30am on Zoom

– during Mass at 11:30am in the Church of St Alphonse

Children’s Liturgy – 5 September 2021

Have you been watching the Paralympic Games?

Have you seen how sportsmen and women with all kinds of disabilities can do amazing things?

In today’s Gospel, Jesus helps a person who cannot hear or speak to express themself.

What can you do to help another child with a disability?
