Reminder: Film and Pizza evening
The parish Diakonia group will be showing the film The Letter, which is about Pope Francis encyclical Laudato Si’ on Monday evening June 26th at 19.00. This will take place at Marcella and Padraig’s home at 1 rue Belle Vue, Niederanven. Phone: 691 435788. (It is easily accessible by bus-details supplied)
The Letter is a nicely produced film, not too heavy but which nevertheless treats of the crisis faced by humanity and caused by our over-exploitation of our sister planet Earth. We will have a break after the film to enjoy a drink and eat a slice (or two!) of pizza that we will have delivered. Then Steve McCarthy will lead a discussion about the film and also introduce his recent book God; Who on Earth are you? which among other things discusses what we should all do in the face of this existential crisis. We would expect the evening to finish before 22.00.
If you would like to participate, please email Marcella ideally by Friday June 23rd .
