Accommodation & employment needed for family from Kyiv
A Ukrainian family of five, (parents and 3 children) who arrived last week in Luxembourg, urgently need accommodation. The family has protected status here.
The parents are seeking employment of any kind. For information the father has been a driver (buses, lorries) and the mother bakes very well.

Reminder: Masses for weekend of 21-22 January – closure of St Alphonse
Church closure: St Alphonse Church is closed for long term repair and renovation from Monday 16 January 2023. The parish office at 34 rue des Capucins remains open as usual. There will no longer be access for parking in the grounds of the Couvent. All updates will be posted on catholic.lu
Location for English-speaking Masses for weekend 21-22 January (further updates will be posted as soon as possible):
Saturday Vigil Mass 7.30pm & Sunday evening Mass 6.30pm: Garden chapel, St Alphonse, (accessed via the archway from rue Willy Goergen)
Sunday 11.30am Mass: Eirelux Irish Restaurant, 40 Rue des Bruyères, 1274 Howald. Thank you to Vinny and Adrienne for offering this facility while we search for a church to accommodate us longer term. It is located on the Howald industrial estate near the large Cactus at Howald.There is plenty of parking. Public transport: bus no. 28 from Luxembourg Gare or no.5 from Luxembourg/Centre, Monterey to stop Howald Ronneboesch. Please check Sunday bus times.

Official showing: The Letter – a message for our planet
The film ‘The Letter’, created in response to Pope Francis’ letter laudato si to us all as caretakers of our common home, will have its first official showing in Luxembourg on Friday 27 January at 16.00 in the presence of Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jean Asselborn.
This will take place at the Cinémathèque, 17 Place du Théâtre, L–2613 (just around the corner from St Alphonse.) Further information on how to obtain tickets can be found by clicking here
