There will be an ecumenical Advent Service entitled “Light for the Darkness’ in St Alphonse on Wednesday 21 December at 7.30pm. This is an an opportunity to pray for all who live with depression, in darkness, or who have experienced tragedy or bereavement in their lives. We will will pray for new hope, light and healing. There will be anointing and healing.

At the weekend Masses Fr Michael reminded us of the ongoing appeal ‘Coach to Ukraine and Back Campaign’.

Aidan Geraghty from Ireland is driving his own truck to Odesa on 22 December to bring essential supplies as winter hits the people very hard; they are experiencing power cuts and shortages of essential supplies for the winter.

There is a need for accommodation for professional single people who are members of the English-speaking community at St Alphonse.

One is looking for a room to rent in or near Bertrange for 3 months . The other needs a longer term let, preferably a studio or small apartment.
