Reminder – Order of Malta: Invitation to find out more about volunteering

The Diakonia group invites you to attend an information meeting organised with the Order of Malta on Saturday January 27th at 10am in the Order’s headquarters, 110 Avenue Gaston Diderich, in Belair (just a few doors down from the Eglise Saint Pie X, where we currently celebrate Mass on Sunday morning). The session will focus on a brief overview of the Order of Malta’s work in Luxembourg and what volunteering options exist. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to get more involved in parish life and volunteering in the New Year.

Please inform the Parish Office (parish@catholic.lu) by 22 January if you wish to attend.

Livestream: Mass on Sunday 14 January 2024, 11:00am.

Ann Buckland RIP

It is with great sadness that we report that the body of Ann Buckland, who has been missing since Monday evening, has been found.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for her and helped to search for her.

Ann Buckland – latest update

Here is the latest update from Ann’s son Tom:

  • Heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who selflessly gave their time and energy to help look for Mum today.
  • Unfortunately we had no luck finding Mum despite a fantastic turnout and an extremely dedicated search by all of the volunteers.
  • We are proposing to continue searching tomorrow by line search area of golf course/J3 to the North of Junglinster.
  • We will meet for a briefing in the car park of the Belenhaff Golf Course in Junglinster at 9:30.
  • Please bring a high-visibility vest, stout walking shoes, warm, protective hiking gear and water and food.
  • The terrain there is a mixture of open, flat woodland and steep hills so we need both capable, experienced and energetic hikers and also people who want to take easier routes/terrain.
