Octave Family Pilgrimage

Saturday 14 May 2022 – 15:45-18:00

All families are invited to join a special pilgrimage from St Alphonse to the Cathedral next Saturday as part of the traditional Octave of Our Lady – the highpoint of the Luxembourg Church year.

Start: Church of St Alphonse – 15:45

End: Notre-Dame Cathedral – 18:00

The pilgrimage will begin with a programme led by our catechists to learn about the history of the Octave and to explore the Church of St Alphonse through a treasure hunt! It will also be an opportunity for our First Holy Communion children to practise their singing before their big day.

The English-speaking Community will then make a procession from St Alphonse to the Cathedral where we will meet up with processions from other linguistic communities.

Cardinal Hollerich will welcome the children before we end the pilgrimage with a short prayer service before the statue of Our Lady in the Cathedral.

Short-term let urgently needed

A professional married couple in our community, with a young child, urgently need a small apartment for a few weeks between letting contracts on a short term basis. They are both in full-time employment, non-smokers and would really appreciate if someone could reach out to them. They are of course willing to pay rent.

If you can help or know of someone with accommodation available, please contact the parish office in the first instance: parish@catholic.lu
