Children’s Liturgy online – 7 March 2021

One day, Jesus went to the Temple in Jerusalem to celebrate an important feast. He got very angry at what he saw.

Can you imagine Jesus being angry? It’s not how we usually know him. Something must have been very wrong.

The Temple was the House of God, the most holy place for the Jews. But people were using it to make money and take advantage of others. Jesus thought that this was unfair and had to be stopped.

Jesus said that the Temple in which God lives is not just a building – but his own body.

So how can we make sure that Jesus doesn’t get angry again like he was in the Temple in Jerusalem?

Covid-19 appeal from Ilula

Message from the Ilula Orphanage Program: Sadly the virus is now raging through Tanzania and it has arrived in Ilula. We have heard shocking stories of lack of oxygen and sometimes also electricity in the hospital – people are dying everyday. The 8 outside committees are trying try to raise money to cover the cost of health insurance for all the staff.
From the refreshments served after Sunday Mass, Annette and her team used to collect about €4,000 a year for health insurance for the children in Ilula – before Covid of course.

Appeal for donations: In the current crisis it is crucial that the costs of the health insurance continue to be met. Any financial donations would be most appreciated and can be made directly to : IOP Luxembourg, LU27 0019 3955 9582 3000

If you would like more information please email IOP directly: contact@iopluxembourg.org
