Shoebox Appeal 2025

We are once again launching our annual Shoebox Appeal. The shoebox campaign delivers gifts to children affected by poverty in Eastern Europe and Africa. Often these shoebox gifts are the only gift that a child will receive at Christmas. Over the past 10 years our parish has packed over 6.000 Shoeboxes that were delivered to vulnerable Children. 

This year are we will be working with TEAM HOPE.  TEAM HOPE is an Irish, Christian development aid charity, working with children, their families and communities across Africa and Eastern Europe (www.teamhope.ie). They will ensure that our boxes delivered straight into the hands of a child in need, irrespective of their race, religion, ethnicity or background. The only criteria for receiving a shoebox is the need of the child .

You can contribute to the good cause by either packing your own box (empty boxes and instructions are available at the back of the church during the month of October) or by by making a donation to sponsor a box that has been pre-packed by our team. The cost per box is 30 €.

Adult Confirmation programme: Fr Michael will be running a Confirmation programme for adults from 5th November 2025 – 14th January 2026.  Confirmation is a requirement if you wish to be a godparent and for marriage in the Church in most countries.  For those who wish to join this programme, please first contact the parish office at parish@catholic.lu (registration until 29th October)

We have been asked to extend an invitation to the next ‘Healing of memories workshop’, which will take place Friday, 10th to Sunday, 12th October 2025 and will be will be led by Fr Michael Lapsley from South Africa. Please see the leaflet below and share it with anyone who might benefit.
