It is with great sadness that we report that the body of Ann Buckland, who has been missing since Monday evening, has been found.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for her and helped to search for her.

Here is the latest update from Ann’s son Tom:

• Heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who selflessly gave their time and energy to help look for Mum today.
• Unfortunately we had no luck finding Mum despite a fantastic turnout and an extremely dedicated search by all of the volunteers.
• We are proposing to continue searching tomorrow by line search area of golf course/J3 to the North of Junglinster.
• We will meet for a briefing in the car park of the Belenhaff Golf Course in Junglinster at 9:30.
• Please bring a high-visibility vest, stout walking shoes, warm, protective hiking gear and water and food.
• The terrain there is a mixture of open, flat woodland and steep hills so we need both capable, experienced and energetic hikers and also people who want to take easier routes/terrain.

Ann (Anderson) Buckland has been missing from her retirement (CIPA) residence in Junglinster since Monday evening. 

The police have released a description of Ann which can be read by clicking here and a photo of Ann. She is described as being of small build, approximately 1.60m in height, with short grey hair and red glasses, mainly English-speaking and is dependent on medication.

If you have any knowledge of her whereabouts, please contact the Police in Junglinster on 113.

Anne is still missing. We have received the following update and appeal from her family:

• A dog search on Thursday afternoon 11th Jan has strongly indicated that Anne recently walked a specific area to the west of Junglinster, likely leading to walking trail J2.

• Anne has not been found on the marked trails in that area.

• Anne’s family are looking for fit, agile volunteers who are capable of walking on steep slopes and through heavy undergrowth to help with a focused line/grid search of the off-trail wooded areas in that specific area tomorrow Friday 12 January.

• If you are able to help, please meet at the same organisation point as today at 9:30am on Friday for a briefing and planning: https://maps.app.goo.gl/aBfi18XPiSijSG138.

• Note that the police are also acting on this information and have requested additional helicopter overflight of the area tomorrow, weather permitting, and so we would like this to be a carefully managed activity tomorrow so that ground-searching activities/people do not confuse or complicate the air search.

Anne is the small Scottish lady, usually with a hat, who sits in the front seat in the church in Belair with Anne Schmidt. Please pray for her safe return.
