First Reading Deuteronomy 8:2-3, 14b-16a.  Moses reminds the people how God saved them from starvation by sending them manna from heaven.

Second Reading 1 Corinthians 10:16-17  In our sharing the Eucharist, we are united in the Body of Christ

Gospel John 6:51-58  In eating the bread which is the body of Christ, we are intimately united with him and will live for ever.
