I received the following message from Lisa Zasman who is a professional violinist and plays the violin in our music group)
“Just to let you know that the orchestra I play in will have two quite special concerts this week-end:
- Saturday 11thJune, 8 pm, in the church of Garnich (near Dippach)
- Sunday 12thJune, 8 pm, in the church of Weiler-la-Tour (east of Luxemburg city)
On the program: the very beautiful and spiritual Requiem by John Rutter and an Agnus Dei for Marimba and Choir, written by the young Luxemburgish marimba player Sven Kieffer, who will also be playing at the concert.”
I agree with Lisa that Rutter’s Requiem is beautiful! The Agnus Dei for Marimba and Choir promises to be interesting also.
