From 7^th to 11^th October a small delegation from Ireland is visiting us in Luxembourg. Bishop Martin Hayes of Kilmore, who chairs the Irish bishops’ working group on Laudato Si’, is coming with two colleagues from Trócaire and some parishioners from different parts of Ireland.

Irish parishes have spent the best part of a decade doing practical work on the care of creation, and this group has done much of it with their own hands. Most of them are not experts. They are people who gave parish land back to wildlife, started groups where there was nothing, work with young people, and in one case moved a pension so that it sat more easily with his faith.

On Friday 9^th October, from 10:00 to 12:00, they will spend the morning with us. They will share what worked and what did not, and then we talk it through around small tables. It is a conversation rather than a conference, and lunch follows! The morning is in English and open to everyone, whatever your tradition.
