Many thanks to our (nascent) parish choir, who sang so well for our International Mass on Wednesday last, 21 May (more about the Mass shortly). In a short space of time, they managed to learn and sing worthily a considerable repertoire — including ‘Leif Mamm’! Thanks also to Renée Schmidt of the archdiocese for her help and encouragement both at rehearsals and during the Mass. The choir will continue to meet for rehearsals each Tuesday evening in the church of St Alphonse at 19:00. New members are always welcome. The rehearsals resume (after a well-earned break) on 3 June. ASCENSION THURSDAY
This coming Thursday, 29 May, we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord. There will be a Vigil Mass at 19:00 on Wednesday evening, and Mass on Thursday at 11:15. I am away this week, from Sunday afternoon to Friday, and Fr Brendan McConvery will be here in my place. I will, of course, be contactable in the usual ways should the need arise. Fr Ed.
31 MAY MASS CANCELLED
The Vigil Mass on Saturday 31 May is cancelled, as usual, due to the Luxembourg Marathon. The route of the Marathon passes the door of the church, and all access is severely restricted. Apologies for this disruption to our usual service, but the matter is out of our control. Sunday Mass at 11:15 will continue as usual. Thank you for your understanding. Fr Ed

IMPORTANT: PROCESSION & MASS TOMORROW
Our Mass for the Octave is at 19:30 in the cathedral tomorrow, Wednesday, 21 May. Especially invited are our First Holy Communion children, wearing what they wore on Sunday if possible. Places are reserved in the cathedral for the children and their families. We will process, led by our altar servers and Knights of the Holy Sepulchre. I suggest we all meet in the church of St Alphonse at 18:50 on Wednesday, ready to depart at 19:00 exactly. The parking at St Alphonse will be open. Mass will be mainly in English. Please make this celebration a priority so that we can be together as a parish community. Thank you. Fr Ed.
