English-speaking Early Years education

As previously mentioned in our Sunday notices the Italian Kindergarten, Scuola Materna Italiana Cattolica, located in the Pétrusse in the centre of Luxembourg, will be opening an English-Italian class in September 2020.  It accepts children from the age of 3.

Clearly we have had to cancel the presentation by the new Headteacher, Stéphanie Duval, this weekend, but more information on this new provision can be found in the flyer below.  Mme Duval is happy to answer any further questions by email or phone – contact details are in the flyer.

Compline (Night Prayer) Wednesday

Our programme of Eucharistic Adoration and prayer online continues. Tonight, Wednesday, Adoration will be concluded (at 21:50) with Compline, the official Night Prayer of the Church. You are invited to join Adoration at any point, and to celebrate Compline. You will find the leaflet here (it will be the same leaflet for Wednesdays until Easter).

Adoration tomorrow morning, 19th March, will finish with Morning Prayer in honour of St Joseph. The leaflet will be published on this site in the morning.

Daily Mass from Bishop Barron’s chapel

Many members of our community already follow Bishop Robert Barron through his website ‘Word on Fire’ or by reading his Lenten Gospel Reflections.

Bishop Barron invites us to join him or Fr Steve Grunow (Word on Fire CEO) online for daily Mass, available by clicking here, while we are not able to attend Mass.

Care for our community

If you are isolated at home and need assistance with shopping for food or collecting prescriptions or carrying out other tasks, or you know of someone who would appreciate some help, please contact the parish office by email, parish@catholic.lu, or by phone: 661 127 962.

We will try to arrange  support from a volunteer in our community.

Adoration — text of Night Prayer (Compline)

As previously announced, each evening we will have online Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. During this time, you are invited to watch and to pray. Your prayers, of course, are not to the screen on which you are watching, but to the Lord, who is equally present to you in your own home as he is on the altar.

Each evening, Adoration will conclude at 21:50 with Night Prayer (Compline). It would be wonderful if we could pray this together — here is the text of the Night Prayer (Compline) for Tuesdays. The text for each subsequent day will be published here daily. See you later!
