Domestic items needed

A member of our community has moved into an apartment, and has urgent need of some domestic items: washing machine, dryer, small oven, iron & ironing board, and a  vacuum cleaner. Other items gratefully accepted also.

German/Luxembourgish family sought

I received the following message from Marijane of our community. The young man in question is known to me, and I am happy to recommend him to any family who is able to host him. I’m sure someone can help!

“Young Iranian man (19 years old) is interested in finding a German or Luxembourgish family to live with in or around Luxembourg ville. He is quiet, intelligent and responsible. He is concentrating on the German language to be able to enter a course in CHC machines (which is Metal 3D work) His interests are Philosophy and Mathematics. He attends our Masses at St. Alphonse.  Please spread the word, if you can.   One never knows whom one might meet just around the corner who might be willing to help. A very big Thank you. Plea for help

I have been speaking with a lady who from December will be in need of temporary accommodation for herself and her 11 year-old son. She is a professional lady with Luxembourgish residency, and is worried that her present situation is very harmful to her son (and to herself). If you can offer such temporary accommodation, or would like to know more before deciding, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I can give you the fuller story, and also put you in direct contact with the lady herself.

I am well aware of your generosity in the past, and always hesitate before making another appeal — and only do so where I believe there is genuine need.
