World Day for Migrants and Refugees – 11.30 Mass

Yesterday we enjoyed a beautiful Mass to celebrate the World Day for Migrants and Refugees at St Alphonse. The church has been beautifully decorated with the work of Manette Fusenig. In response to the Cardinal ‘s request and thanks to the generosity of members of our community we have collected many packs of pens, pencils and coloured markers for children in refugee centres.

The display of boats will remain in the church for the next month and you can see photos of the art installation and the Mass by clicking on the link below.

Household items urgently needed

A family in our community urgently needs the following items: a table with 4 – 6 chairs, a single/ child’s bed and kitchen items. If you can donate any of these items, please contact the parish office in the first instance.

If you have other items to donate, please check with the office to see if they are required.

FAITH UNDER LOCKDOWN: CHANGES & POSITIVE OUTCOMES

The TheoBar has the great pleasure to invite you to a TheoGarden with Monseigneur Hollerich, Cardinal and Archbishop of Luxembourg, where the questions for debate will be:

  • How did we live our faiths during lockdown?
  • What has changed in our faiths since lockdown?
  • What positive outcomes can we taken for the future?

The evening will start by sharing our testimonies. Then, Cardinal Hollerich will give us tips and ideas to inspire us positively to live our faith in a post Covid-19 World. The TheoGarden will take place in the Garden of Episcopal Palace 3, avenue Marie-Thérèse, L-2132 Luxembourg on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 7:30 pm. Please register in advance: TheoBarLux@gmail.com / https://www.facebook.com/TheoBarLuxembourg/
