Children’s Liturgy online – 28 March 2021

(c) Church of Immaculate Conception, Bicester

It is Palm Sunday – the start of Holy Week… the most important few days of the whole year for Christians.

We start by celebrating Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem in the same way as people did more than 2000 years ago – waving palms and branches and preparing the way for Our Saviour.

Today’s Gospel gives us a sneak preview of all the highs and lows that we will share with Jesus in the coming days: from friendship and love through suffering and death to new life and hope on Easter Sunday.

It will be a dramatic journey. Are you ready?

Pope Francis urges us to come together as  a community a ‘People of God’

’We need a movement of people who know we need  each other, who have  a sense of responsibility to others and to the world.  We need to proclaim that being kind, having faith and working for the common good are great life goals that need courage and vigor; while glib superficiality and the mockery of ethics have done us no good’  Let us Dream, Pope Francis, p.6
