Children’s Liturgy online – 21 June 2020

Do not be afraid

How many hairs are there on your head? Do you know?

God knows.

In today’s Gospel, we hear how well God knows each of us. He cares for us so much that we should never be afraid. We should be confident in our faith in God and share it with the world around us.

If you are joining the Children’s Liturgy by Zoom at 10:45, please bring a piece of paper and a white crayon or white candle to discover the message of today’s Gospel.

Update on signing in for Mass

Following a review by the government the Archdiocese is able to ease the requirement on signing up in advance for attending Mass, provided that a distance of at least one metre between households is maintained in the church. Masks will be worn if the distance is less than 2 metres and for entering and leaving the church and going to Communion.

An area of the church with 2 metres social distancing will be reserved for those who feel they fall into the more vulnerable categories.  Places can be reserved in advance by calling the parish office: 661 127 962.

Updated information on Mass times and arrangements can be found on the Home Page by clicking here.

Nearly Headless Fred

There is a ghost in the Harry Potter stories called ‘Nearly Headless Nick’ whose head was partly detached from his body. His name came to my mind when I looked at the FaceBook stream of Mass this morning: the camera was badly positioned, and for the most of time at the at the altar I was visible without my head, and at the chair completely invisible. Apologies for this. I will have a word with the camera crew (ie. myself!) and try to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Thank you for your patience!

(Nearly Headless) Fr Ed
