Children’s Liturgy – 16 January 2022

(c) CAFOD

In today’s Gospel, we hear about the first miracle that Jesus performed.

He made something special happen – something that no-one else could make happen.

It was a sign of how special he was.

What miracles do you know about?

Caring for each Other- Social Justice Group

Caring for each Other- Social Justice Group (sub committee of the Pastoral Council)

‘… the time has come to dream as a single human family in which we are all brothers and sisters.’ Fratelli Tutti, Pope Francis 2020.

Our Social Justice group Diakonia has been in existence for 3 years.  We are committed to justice and equality in the Catholic Church and in the world, including climate justice. We have enjoyed tree planting and organizing an Evening of Hope for the Planet. We organized an online forum – a Church Hall Meeting – to discuss the post Covid World and the changes we would like to see. We participated in the 2020 International Women’s Day march for equality for women in the Catholic Church. We look forward to participating in the Synodal way, a real opportunity to bring about reform in the Catholic Church. We have been active locally with refugees and asylum seekers and work together with Reech eng Hand, the diocesan organization coordinating these activities. This, and regular contact with the Red Cross and other local institutions has been enriching for us. Check out our webpage https://catholic.lu/outreach/diakonia/

Our world presents us Christians with many challenges, but we are motivated by the gospels and want to spread Christian hope in the world.

Are you free and willing to engage with us? Do you want to give life and expression to your faith? If so, we would be very happy to welcome you to one of our meetings or please get in touch with one of our members to find out more about our activities.

Please contact the parish office for more information or if you would like to join us: parish@catholic.lu
