REPOST – Opportunity to donate to Haiti Orphanage

Those of you attending or listening to Mass over the weekend will have heard Fr Amede appeal for donations which are desperately needed for the orphaned children he works with in Haiti. Their orphanage was completely destroyed in the 2021 earthquake killing 40 children; the surviving 150 children and a team of 14 carers are in a temporary camp relying on meagre food deliveries once a fortnight, meaning the children go hungry and have one simple meal a day. This community has only survived thanks to donations from outside groups.

A local group is re-building the orphanage on land that has been donated, but donations are needed to feed the children. If you would like to make a donation please give directly to the orphanage using the account details below.

Our Christian Meditation group would like to draw your attention to its theme for this year : Unified -One Mind One Heart.
