Members of our community, involved in ‘ The Asociation for Venezuela’ will be selling arepas (typical corn bread) today, Sunday 17 November after the 11:15 mass in the garden/parking meeting room at St Alphonse. The arepas will be accompanied by cheese, pork, other meats and salad. There will be cupcakes and juice for children also.

Please return your forms for the confirmation programme to the parish office, parish@catholic.lu, as soon as possible as the first meeting will be Wednesday 20 November from 19.00 – 20.30 in the Couvent at St Alphonse.

Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2019
We have collected 395 gift-filled boxes for deprived children in Eastern Europe. Thank you to everyone for packing boxes, sponsoring pre-packed boxes, donating bulk items or money, sewing and knitting items, attending our stand, and last but not least loading and unloading the boxes for transportation. Once again a huge accomplishment, many blessed children and families thanks to your help and generosity and support. ❤❤❤ Michele Foley-Rohen and the Shoebox Team
First parish tree-planting day
Along with friends from the Anglican parish, more than twenty people, including several young people, came to plant eight trees on Saturday 9 November – and then enjoyed a barbecue lunch. Many thanks to everyone who took part and especially to Liz and Stuart for letting us plant them on their field. Here are a few photos of the occasion:
