Voter Registration

Voter registration: If you have lived in Luxembourg for at least five years, you can vote in the local elections on 8 October 2017… but only if you register by 13 July. At present, just 16% of eligible foreigners are registered to vote. The Diocesan Justice & Peace Commission wants to encourage foreigners to register to vote via the foreign language communities and we are looking for one or more persons to take the lead in the English-speaking community. Training sessions in English to explain the background and rules will be offered on 25 and 27 April. To find out more, please contact John Coughlan.

Refugee Aid Update

The news is that Luxexpo will cease to function as a reception centre at the end of March and so our volunteers are on the move again to the Red Cross reception centres in Limpertsberg and Strassen. These two new locations may well be more convenient for members of our community willing to help with various activities, especially in the area of sports and fitness. More volunteers are always needed: please consider offering your time to this most worthy cause.

The dedicated page for Refugee Aid can be found here. The page includes details of activities and contact details.

Thank you,

Fr Ed

Couples for Christ

This weekend, 11th-12th of March, we are delighted to welcome members of Couples for Christ, a Catholic community-orientated organisation supporting married couples, widowed and single people. They will have a stall at the back of church with information about their life and work, and invitations to become involved. I would be happy if members of our parish explored this possibility.
