Marriage Preparation Day February 2017
Marriage Preparation Day
Our next Marriage Preparation Day will be on Saturday, February 11 2017, from 10:00 – 17:00 at the Centre Jean XXIII near Kirchberg. This course is for couples preparing for marriage: it’s not about preparing you for the ceremony itself, but for the rest of your married life together. These days have been both popular and highly rated; input is given by trained Marriage Preparation presenters, and as couples you have an opportunity also to share your own experience of life together.
Exceptionally (due to scheduling issues, for example) you can take the course after your church wedding. If you wish to register for the February date, please contact me and I will subscribe you. To cover costs, we ask €75 from each couple; if this is beyond your means, no problem — again, just get in touch. Refreshments and a sandwich lunch are provided.
Our February course will be presented by Kit and Caroline Dollard who work both for the diocese of Middlesbrough and the Abbey of Ampleforth in the UK.

Christmas Refugee Volunteer Appeal
The refugee service which operated from Gasperich with the aid of many volunteers from our parish community has now moved to the LuxExpo First Reception Centre, along with the services we have helped provide. There is now urgent need for volunteers to help, principally with the serving of meals. Volunteers are asked to sign up on a rota, to work with others at the Centre. With so many people leaving Luxembourg over the Christmas period, there are considerable gaps that need filling. There are other duties that need volunteers also.
The appeal is for you, and for people you know — it is one thing sympathising with the plight of those who have left desperate situations at home, and another to take practical action to help them in their need. Please, if you can, sign up to help. You can find further information and contact details on our parish refugee page, administered by the co-ordinator, John Coughlan of our community.
Thank you.
