CATECHISTS’ MEETING

A reminder that there is a meeting tomorrow (Tuesday 16 September) for all in our community involved in catechesis: Children’s Liturgy, preparation for First Holy Communion and Confirmation, teachers of religion. If you are interested in beginning as a catechist, come along too. The meeting is at 19:00 in the church of St Alphonse, in the room to the right of the altar. If you cannot attend, but wish to be kept informed as to the results of the meeting, please let me know. Thanks,

Fr Ed

GAZA APPEAL update

Many thanks for your response to our Gaza appeal, sending urgently needed resources to many whose lives have been devastated by war. Between our 2 weekend collections and several generous individual donations, we were able to send €2,941.40 to Caritas (Jerusalem). People we will never meet will benefit from your generosity. Again, many thanks. Our care for those in need is a sure indicator of our fidelity to the gospel of Christ.
