Concert 5 May

United in Jesus — concert of sacred music including Panis Angelicus, O Salutaris Hostia, Taizé chants. This concert is presented by superb musicians and singers, and we are blessed to welcome them to our church.  Entrance collection in aid of children in need in Latvia. This event is not simply a concert, but an encounter with our Risen Lord. Recommended!

‘Elevation’ link

I referred this weekend (7-8 April) to an emotion called ‘elevation’. The article which introduced me to the concept can be found here. Recordings of the homilies, as usual, are online shortly after the day on which they were preached. They can be accessed from the drop-down menu on the Masses tab on our homepage. Unfortunately  you will have to wait until next year before you can re-listen to homilies as a Lenten penance…

Annual appeal for feet

Tomorrow evening at 20:30 we celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, the first part of our Easter Liturgy; this year, as always, we need feet to wash — one per person, man, woman or child. If you are coming to Mass tomorrow evening (Thursday 29th March) and are willing to have a foot washed during Mass, I would be most grateful. Simply send me an email or text to let me know.

As you will already know, this celebration is simple and beautiful — and if you can add to it with your foot, that would be so good.

Thank you,

Fr Ed
