Third Week of Easter – Text for Spiritual Reflection

This week, we suggest you read a text written by Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945), a German protestant pastor and theologian, who was involved in the resistance movement against the Nazi regime during the 1930s and during World War II.

He was arrested in April 1943 and executed in April 1945. During his time in prison, he wrote several letters and other personal thoughts.

You will find today’s text with a short biography of the author by clicking on the flyer below

On Friday, tips for personal prayer and/or personal reflections inspired by this poem and taken from the Scripture will be posted on this website.

Children’s Liturgy online – 26 April 2020

Today we will hold our first live online Children’s Liturgy via Zoom. If you participate regularly in the Children’s Liturgy and have not received an invitation, please contact parish@catholic.lu.

Today’s Gospel reading tells a seriously surprising story of how Jesus appeared to his disciples several days after rising from the dead on Easter Sunday. This video explains what happened in the form of a poem:

Facing Unusual Times – Tips for Prayer – Week IV – by Fr HP

Since Tuesday, 24th March 2020, we have been reading step by step The Mass on the World, written in 1923 by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1881-1955), a Jesuit priest, a theologian and a palaeontologist, whilst he was working as part of a team in palaeontological fieldwork in the Ordos desert, a barren landscape, west of Peking, near the border with Inner Mongolia.

This past week we read Part V, the final Part of the essay
