Mass intention for Sunday 11 November: Martin & Fran Dempsey, the late parents of Cliodhna Dempsey, both of whose anniversaries occur in November; Joaquim Rosado (father-in-law of John O’Sullivan).

Mass cards are available in Hollerich after Sunday Mass.

Please remember these intentions in your prayers. Also, Zimran Javed from Pakistan who is undergoing surgery here in Luxembourg; Simon Lesh, Ciara Hurley & Angus MacKay who are unwell.

At Mass each weekend, we pray for all our intentions. If you would like to include the name of someone who is sick, please contact Fr Ed.

Likewise, we can include the name of someone who has died, or whose anniversary is occurring.

Our prayers for the sick at the moment include: Angus Mackay, Ciara Hurley, Père Benoit Rall CSsR & Père Aloyse Maurer CSsR. May God’s help and strength be with them, and all who are sick.

To be eligible to make First Holy Communion in 2013, your child must have reached his or her eighth birthday by 1 January 2013. There was an enrolment and information meeting on Sunday 14 October. Owing to pressures due to my imminent departure (packing etc.), I will have to make this a very brief bulletin, omitting the usual preliminaries (schedules  of masses, confessions , arrangements for baptisms and marriages etc.).

A FINAL WORD OF THANKS      

As this will be my last bulletin, I would like to take the occasion to say a deeply-felt word of thanks to all our parishioners who have made me feel so much at home over the past 13 years of my time in Luxembourg.  I have experienced nothing but warmth and friendliness and wonderful cooperation.  I would like to mention  individuals by name, but it might be odious, as I would surely leave someone out who should be mentioned.   But maybe I’ll get a chance to do that later, on September 30^th, when we have our farewell dinner at the Franciscan sisters.  For the present, then, I wish you one and all a very good and relaxing summer vacation and look forward to  seeing you all again on the 8^th and 9^th September.
