The Octave in honour of Our Lady, Consoler of the Afflicted, is being celebrated online this year: it goes without saying that we are all afflicted at the moment in one way or another, so our prayers to the Patron of Luxembourg are especially pertinent. The English-speaking Mass for the Octave is on this Friday, 8th May at 18:30, broadcast live from the cathedral. The live stream can be found on the archdiocesan website. We’ll shortly publish the music for this Mass so you can join in the singing from your own home. The readings will be those of Friday, and can be found at universalis.

In today’s Gospel we hear about how Jesus knows each of us by name, like a shepherd knows his sheep.

Today’s Children’s Liturgy will again take place live online via Zoom. It’s fun, it’s social and it’s all focused on today’s Gospel story.

Please bring along a stuffed sheep toy, a mini-figure sheep, your own drawing of a sheep, a cut-out of a sheep, a picture of a sheep from a storybook you have – or any other way you can think of to suggest a sheep. Today we are all Jesus’ sheep!
