Pilgrimage for fathers in Luxembourg

Pilgrimage for fathers in Luxembourg  – Saturday 23rd March 2019)

For the fourth time since its inauguration in 2016, the “Marche des pères de famille” is being organised on the 23rd March 2019 (the nearest Saturday to the Feast of St Joseph, celebrated on the 19th March).

Around 30-40 dads (mostly in their mid 30s) will be walking in the north of the country heading to the Abbaye de Clervaux. This is a great opportunity for dads in our parish to join this pilgrimage, and you are most welcome ! See this leaflet for information : affiche marche saint joseph 2019

The meeting point is at the Gare de Luxembourg at 7h00. You will be back at around 18h00 in Luxembourg-city. Several priests will be joining. All the details may be found at https://www.cathol.lu/article7691

Accommodation request

This enquiry/request is for Dylan, 21, the son of my cousin in Ireland. Dylan is due to begin an 8 month course in Luxembourg this week, studying International Business Studies. He is looking for accommodation (as usual here, there is much competition). The course is in Hesperange, but any location would be acceptable. Usual rates, of course.

If you can help with recommendation, please contact me, and I can put you in direct contact with Dylan.

I can vouch for his character etc.

Thank you,

Fr Ed

Internship info appeal

I received the following request from my Redemptorist Provincial in the UK:

I asked you some time ago if you are aware of any possibilities for a young university student next summer in Luxembourg and you suggested I write to you.

The student’s father is professor of cardiology at Dundee teaching university and his mother is the chief consultant cardiologist in the same hospital.

He is a very bright young man and is in his first year at Edinburgh University reading international law. He is fluent in Spanish, French Mandarin and Bahasa.

He has worked for the Redemptorists before and the whole family have walked the Camino helping out in our centre in Astorga.

He is looking for some kind of internship perhaps next August and September if that would be possible. You may know some people in Luxembourg who might be able to point him in the correct direction. He will be 19 but has a good degree of maturity and has travelled extensively.

If you do find anyone who can assist, please do let me know.

Fr. Ronnie
