Tree planting – Sunday 8 March

Picture of treesOur tree-planting programme is a response to Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si, in which he encourages us all to love and care for God’s Creation in all its abundance and beauty.

So our next tree planting event will be in the afternoon of Sunday 8 March. We hope to plant up to ten trees on a private piece of land on a beautiful hillside at Kapenacker, near Beyren. We still need a few more volunteers to take part; families and young people would be particularly welcome. So, if you can help, please emLaudato si pictureail Steve McCarthy for further details. We plan to start around 14.30. But if it is a nice day and you would like to picnic then come a bit earlier. Hot and cold drinks will be available in the course of the afternoon.

International Pot-luck lunch – Sunday 15 March

International pot-luck lunch Sunday 15 March: the Pastoral & Community Life committee are planning a bring and share lunch after the 11.15 Mass in the Couvent.

You are asked to bring a dish from your country (enough to feed 8 – 10 people) and add a label with the recipe / ingredients.  Dishes can be brought to the Couvent before Mass – courtyard door.

This is an opportunity to meet other members of our community and share our cultural richness.
